"MOM"

LoGrant was the sixth of eleven children born to Frank and Parthenia White on May 24, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from Ullman High School in 1953 she moved across the country to Los Angeles, CA where she lived and worked as a nanny. She married Amos Powell Jr. on October 18, 1956 and they bought a home in Carson, CA where she bore and raised five children. While raising her children LoGrant continued to pursue her education and graduated from LA Bible Training School on June 10, 1973. After the death of her husband in 1993 LoGrant returned to school full time and received a BA degree in Religion from St. Charles Univ in 1997. From then on she worked tirelessly in the Christian ministry speaking at church functions, leading womens prayer groups and her all time favorite joy - street witnessing.
